Well it s better Late than never, but theres a video too! so that should make up for the tardiness. Volcom's final stop of the North America leg of the "Wild in the Parks" series went off! There were hundreds of skateboarders and spectators in attendance at Kona skatepark in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday September, 9th. This contest series format is completely different than the typical two, 1 minute boring contest runs. The course was broken into three zones and there was a twenty minute jam format with multiple heats. The vibe the entire day was amazing: insane skateboarding, with lots of fun, free food, and bonding. Some of Florida's top AM's showed up to shred. The skateboarding in both the 14 and under division and the 15 and up division was unbelievable, almost every heat could have been a final! The day went perfect with the exception of a short rain delay. Overall the level of talent at this event was up to par with one of the top international AM contest. Thanks to Daniel Terry, Jeff, and Danny with Volcom and Martin Ramos and the Kona crew for such a tight event! All contests should be this fun!
