Active Ride Shop's "Sponsor Me Slopestyle" is "THE" contest for up-and-coming riders in Southern California. The winner walked home with a one-year sponsorship from Active, Mountain High, Rome, Von Zipper, Vestal, and Vans.

Rain City Rail Jam (59 photos)

We couldn't have asked for a better event this year. We started off well by breaking our previous record set last year with a total of 73 competitors. For 2008, we ended up with a grand total of 111 skiers and snowboarders who signed up and threw down on the amazing rail setup provided by the Summit at Snoqualmie and their great park crew.
Then we put together a huge BBQ thanks to the generous support of Jones Soda and followed that up with a live performance from local hip-hop artist Common Market. The energy and vibe surrounding the Summit West Lodge was amazing.

Southern California has been pretty rainy this winter but in the mountains, with rain, comes snow. Soft SoCal snow and sun made Utility Board Shop's Pull The Pin competition a great one. With multiple features and tons of prizes, the competition went off and left Gromfest with a few new competitors.

On the 1st of July, the city of Woodinville and the local YMCA put on a skate comp that drew more than 50 competitors. The sun was out, the talent was there, Gromfest was shining...it was a good way to start off the summer!

Oakley Uprising-Summit '08 (0 photos)

The Oakley Uprising came back to the Northwest for another round at the Summit at Snoqualmie. This year not only did the dragon box make an appearance but the full quarterpipe became a feature again.
