It was unknown untill it gradually presented it's self as a pre-conceived notion of happiness and a source of solace that one can throw themselves into oh so willingly knowing the full consequences of forcing a fallacy to become some abstract perspective of what one can only hope to be a reality.  Selfish acts such as what one has done can only be lived with on the lesson that one learns which is even though everything even remotely relevant to a significant other can not be forced or falsely believed to go how one may want it no matter if it always didn't go as planned in the past one has to let it be.  By despertately clinging on to the positive words said by another one can be put into a state of false reassurance that gets obliterated repetitiously by the biased thoughts that are always contemplated by one daily.  It's not an obsession it's the ultimate wish of ones life that was percieved to be actually in ones grasp.  It's the unfathomable feeling that one would want to be able to share.  The ever fluctuating emotions that are always felt is something that can throw one into multiple yet diverse states of depression excitement anxiety hopefulness that are harmful to ones resolve at times.  Never has it been within ones comprehension how someone elses words could be irrelevant but someone that is special to someone can send one into a downwards spiral of psychological bewilderment by just informing one of something that has even the smallest hint of the complete opposite of what one would want.  One's resolve struggles to stand strong but one is only human and can only withstand the tempting malicious charm of giving in and.....just putting one's heart where it belongs....which means alone to one's self.  One strives to analyze situations from diverse perspectives in order to do nothing but understand it all.  One....one would want everything to just be okay just for once.  Impossible it will always be for one to have ad ay of contemplation that doesn't include the single thought of....of you.  One read "surrender was never an option when it came to you" and one procured a perspective that from this day on there will never be just one anymore no matter what the future brings one will keep you in ones heart and when one looks back and notices one meant everything one said...one disappears.....now it's just me....just me standing here standing true to everything I have ever said...Just me remembering how it feels to actually believe for an instant that you meant what you said to me.  Just me sitting here everynight that I don't talk to you making excuses to myself as to why I shouldn't cry and just give up.  Just me at this very moment writing this full of tears as silent gags of regret escape my throat in front of these people I've come to call my friends.  Just me realizing as I am writing this...nothing will ever change.  Just me having even stronger feelings for you despite the conversations I've painfully yet silently endured about mutual association and "just friends".  Just me wanting you to know that I love you and I will always try to be there for you one way or the other friends, more than friends, even if we begin to drift apart and become nothing I respect everything you said and will understand your decisions in the future...I just want to say I'm sorry and I've never felt the need to be so apologetic in my life but it's just me now helping you
worrying you
annoying you
understanding you
respecting you
loving you
wanting you
missing you...
infinitely waiting for you....

Just me fully putting 110% in this all for you...
Just me...dedicating everything I have left to you....

The Superman Mythos

by Thyroros

The term superman first entered into modern usage through the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche. This late nineteenth-century German philosopher was vehemently anti-Christian and never tired of condemning the faith as weak, absurd, even detrimental to human development. While Hitler admired him, and the Nazis are said to have made use of some of his ideas, Nietzsche did not actually share their racist and anti-Semitic views. (1) Thus it is not entirely incongruous that two young Jewish men from Cleveland, Ohio would have adopted the term for their own use. While many assume Superman is merely a work of science fiction, I do not believe this to be the case. I too grew up amid all the movies (the first film starring Christopher Reeve came out the year after I was born), cartoons, and TV shows, believing the Man of Steel to be nothing more than a slightly stale and out-dated comic book hero. However, after watching various episodes of Smallville, a very different interpretation of the American icon began to impress itself upon me.

As nonsensical or offensive as some people might think this to be, the tale of Superman represents an allegory of another well-known supernatural, extra-terrestrial being: Satan.

Before delving into some of the more specific correlations, and often glaring similarities, between these two legendary immortals, there is an important point which needs to be made regarding the nature of angels. Angels are extra-dimensional and other-worldly travellers who make infrequent appearances throughout the Bible and other related texts. They usually do not have wings, and they almost always appear just like men. The Seraphim and Cherubim are the only two celestial orders consistently described in the Bible which bear wings. While most angeaologies consider both orders to be angels, the highest orders in fact, neither the Old nor New Testaments refer to them as such. But this is really just a semantic argument that needn't be fully addressed here. Anyway, the English word angel is derived from the Greek angelos which simply means messenger, as does the Hebrew mal'ach, which is used in the Torah, the prophets, and other Hebrew writings. (2) These terms can be used to indicate human or divine beings. Many times the humans with whom angels communicate are not even aware of it until the supernatural visitors perform some act obviously beyond the capability of mere mortals. After closely examining all the Biblical references, I was forced to conclude that there is no overwhelming distinction between angels and what modern mythology refers to as aliens. Both are extra-terrestrial, and both seem to exhibit powers and/or technology beyond what might traditionally be considered human. Now, Satan, if standard Christian doctrine is correct, is a fallen angel, while Kal-El, or Superman, is a stranded, immigrant alien.

Objections may arise as angels are said to dwell in heaven while aliens inhabit the supposedly innumerable worlds located in the vast reaches of space. But again, the only difference between the concepts of heaven and space lie in the minds of people who refuse to acknowledge the simple facts. Both exist above and outside the earth, and both are impossible to visit for the majority of living human beings on this planet. Even now, after thirty-some years of manned space-flight, it still requires the pinnacle of human technology, and the availability of monumental resources, to even consider such undertakings. We haven't been to the moon in over thirty years according to official sources. Moreover, space remains extremely dangerous. It is a notoriously hostile environment; the slightest mistake or malfunction can bring about instantaneous death for even the most well-trained astronaut. So, heavenly realms and intergalactic space, not that different, right? Okay then, hopefully that matter is settled, and we can move on to Krypton.

As most of us know, Kal-El's homeworld, Krypton, was completely obliterated due to a nuclear reaction at its core, which resulted in the infant Kryptonian's emergency flight to earth. Now, some theorize that the asteroid belt in our solar system was created when a large, terrestrial planet located between Mars and Jupiter (often referred to as Astera/Astara) exploded some time in the past. (3) It's possible that this same cataclysm was also responsible for the destruction of the Red Planet's atmosphere and its civilization. Satan may also be connected with Mars and Astera, depending on one's interpretation of certain Old Testament books such as Ezekiel. Ezekiel states in chapter 28, verse 14 that the former anointed cherub, Satan, "walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire". It's not a very far stretch of the imagination to connect "the stones of fire" with planets. Please examine the following verses for more details:

Ezekiel 28:15-17 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground (Hebrew 'eretz is also often translated as land or earth), I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

So Satan may have ruled a physical civilization spanning Mars, Astara, and perhaps several moons as well. But he rebelled against his God and King, and was cast to the earth along with a third of the Heavenly Host (See Revelation 12:4).

The aforementioned information thus allows us to have a much clearer understanding of the scenario presented in Smallville 1961. While I don't disagree with Chloe about the possibility of genetic memory being stored in the DNA, I don't accept that this was necessarily true in Clark’s case. I believe it to be more likely that Jor-El and Kal-El are one person, not father and son. Here's how it works:

I. Jor-El is Satan. II. The father who exiled Jor-El/Satan to earth is actually the Father, as in Yahweh, the God of the Bible. III. Jor-El/Satan returns to space to continue the "War in Heaven" (See Revelation 12:7).. IV. In order to eventually assume the role of Anti-Christ, Satan devises a seemingly foolproof plan. Just as Yahweh/God limited himself in power when He assumed the form of Jesus/the Christ, Satan formulates a a similar device. He clones himself and denies this clone access to certain segments of his memory and powers. This way he will more easily deceive humans into believing that he is a righteous savior rather than evil incarnate. But he makes messages and recordings beforehand which will remind him of certain things at planned intervals. This will enable him to develop in the most ideal way in order to fit the role of the Christ more perfectly. V. Satan and his angels are defeated in the heavenly realms, Mars and Astera/Krypton is destroyed as a result. Satan transfers his consciousness/spirit from Jor-El to the infant clone, Kal-El and rockets off toward earth.

As additional support for this concept, let us explore the meanings of the principal character's names belonging to the Superman mythos:

Clark - Old English - Clergyman or learned man (4)

Kent - Welsh - Bright white, white or bright (5). Another interesting possible derivation of this name is from the Biblical Kenites (first mentioned in Genesis 15:19 as enemies of Israel), who may have been descended from Cain (for in Hebrew Cain is more accurately transliterated as Qayin, and Kenites as Qayini. Adding an "i" to the end of a name in Hebrew indicates the people or descendants of that personage. Israel/Israeli, Qayin/Qayini. See the pattern?) (6)

Kal-El - Can be translated as destruction or completion of God in Hebrew (or possibly 'all that is God/totality of God'). (7) El is the Hebrew word for God.*

Jor-El - J is actually pronounced Y (the letter Yod) in Hebrew. Possible translations are: Yare'-el - fear of God, Yarah-El - God teaches, taught of God, Yeru-El - God is a foundation, Yeri-El - founded of God; God will see. (8)

Krypton/Kryptonite - From the Greek words krypto - To hide; kryptos - hidden unseen, secret; krypte - hidden place (9)

Lex - Latin for law (Just in case 'Lex' is actually short for Alexander, Alexander is Greek for leader of men, alex (leader) + ander (men).10

Luthor (Luther) - Teutonic- famous warrior/ famous in war

Old German - Warring ones

German - warrior/famous people?. Martin Luther was a Catholic monk and theologian turned Protestant reformer (1483-1546). (11)

*If one is inclined to doubt that Kal-El and Jor-El may actually be Hebrew names, allow me to you remind you that both Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the original creators of Superman, were Jewish. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's highly unlikely they would give their characters Hebrew-sounding names by pure chance. (12)

There are just a few more items of interest which may possibly be connections between Kal-El and the Red Dragon/Satan. Since Superman derives his powers from the sun, that would make him a kind of 'sun god'. Satan has sometimes been compared with the sun gods of ancient mythology such as the Egyptian Ra, the Greek/Roman Apollo and the Persian Mithra. The 'infinity serpent' burned onto Clark's chest in the second season finale of Smallville is another fascinating correlation, as Satan is often recognized as being or controlling the serpent in the Garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 3), and one of his titles in Revelation (12:9) is that "that old serpent". Finally, it would be quite simple to draw a pentagram inside the five-pointed shield emblazoned on Superman's costume. Pentagrams are used in ceremonial magic and Satanism the world over. Not that such a detail is conclusive, but I just thought I'd include it for the sake of being thorough.

So what does all of this mean? The reader, of course, is free to draw his or her own conclusions But here's what I believe; Superman comics, movies, and TV shows (and everything else in between) are Satanic Propaganda. Superman is the Anti-Christ/Satan and Lex Luthor, representing Christianity, is desperately trying to defend the earth against him. As the story is told from Satan's perspective, Lex is falsely demonized and portrayed as an insane criminal. In the words of Friedrich Nietzsche from Thus Spake Zarathustra, "God is dead. I teach you the superman." This is the lie that the father of lies is eager for us all to swallow down between mouthfuls of French fries and jelly-filled breakfast pastries.

6. See footnote 2. Most Biblical scholars don't make the connection between Cain and the Kenites. This is probably due to the long-held view that the Flood of Noah/The Great Deluge (as related in Genesis chapters 6-8) was worldwide and no one survived except Noah and his family. However, a gr owing number dispute that the Flood was regional rather than global (which is possible based on certain interpretations of the passages in Genesis), and therefore, Cain's progeny could have survived.

On Sat. March 22nd we had a bobcat and a bunch of skaters remove snow from the Whistler Skatepark.

shoveling snow

We started removing snow at 10am and finished around 5pm. Capilano Highway Services were so kind to let their employee Mark Johnson use the bobcat to remove snow from the park.

street_.jpg

Thanks goes out to Mark and Capilano Highway Services for their support. The park may need a little more shoveling and a water drainage system but it is skate-able and should be fully dry with the help of some sun and rain.

Dry skatepark

We didn’t get into the bowl removing any snow but the street course is a good start for March considering we are still getting some good pow days on the hill.

For two consecutive years in a row Matix team riders are named Skater of the Year. In 2006 Thrasher awarded Daewon Song Skater of the Year and 2007 Mark Johnson took S.O.T.Y. title. With the amount of coverage MJ’s been receiving in issues of every mag covering Lakai tours (not including his exclusive TWS issue and his three parts in Fully Flared), Marc is at the top of the S.O.T.Y. meter.

High Speed knows how to throw a serious party in celebration of the ubiquitous Skater of the Year award. Dae was drunken with happiness last year accepting the S.O.T.Y. award and we're hoping for another memorable intro from Gav… Good times are ahead for sure.

These parties are open to the public via ticket, so anyone’s invited. Besides it’s always a good time staring at Eben’s hot wife and listening to Bad shi*t again. You can be sure we’ll be repping MJ hard at Thrashers S.O.T.Y. party this January. Hope to see you there. Congratulations Marc!

When tomorrow starts without me

When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
and each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready in heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye,
for all life, I'd always thought I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for and so much yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday, I thought, just for awh
ile,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized that this could never be,
for emptiness and memories would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things that I'd miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, from His great golden throne,
He said, "This is eternity and all I've promised you".
Today for life on earth is past but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
and since each day's the same day, there's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful, so trusting, and so true.
Tho
ugh there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven and now at last you’re free.
So won't you take my hand and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart.

-David M. Romano

This poem means alot to me. We read it at my uncles funeral. it was sad. well i read it. I believe that this is a great reminder for me that he is always in my heart.

AM I PRETTY ENOUGH NOW?

Boy: What?

Girl: I really like you. And I... I think I'm falling in love with you.

Boy: Ok...

Girl: What do you mean "ok"?

Boy: I don't like you like that...

Girl: Why not?

Boy: I can't tell you... maybe another time...

From then on, the girl kept asking the boy "Why not?" whenever she saw

him, and he kept answering the same answer of "I'll tell you later."

Finally the girl got fed up.

Girl: I'm tired of this! Tell me why you don't like me!

Boy: Do you really wanna know why?

Girl: Yes!

Boy: It's because you're ugly as f*ck! What's the point of going out
with someone when they're not pretty?!

Girl: But... I...

Boy: Just shut up and leave me alone!

The boy leaves and the girl is sitting there alone, crying her heart out.

Then her cell phone rings.

Girl: Hello?

Mom: Sweetheart? I want you to go home, ok? I'll be home from work in a
few hours.

Girl: Alright Mom.

Mom: I love you.

Girl: I love you too, Mom.

Mom: Bye Bye.

Girl: Bye

The girl heads home and once she got there, she went in the bathroom

and looked at herself in the mirror.

Girl: I'm not pretty enough...

She set to work, knowing fully well what she was going to do. 2 hours

later, her Mom came home and heard the bath water running. She went

upstairs to find the hallway flooded so she knocked on the door.

Mom: Honey? Are you alright?

She opened the door and was shocked at the site. The bath was

overflowing onto the floor, and the water was tinted red. She walked

over to see what was inside and screamed. There, her little girl was

lying with cuts all over her face and wrists. Her Mom backed away and

was going to run to call the police when something caught her eye. On

the mirror... Am I pretty enough now?

No one deserves to be told that by someone they love. If you find it

messed up then forward this to everyone you know.

A person's appearance doesn't count. What counts is their heart inside

of them and their personality. No one wants to be told they're not good enough

Skateboarding...

the feeling of freedom as you push a 7.75" wide x 32" long peice of compressed canadian maple plywood down the street, or the feeling of acceptence when you throw some banger down the stairset near your house and you hear the banging of tails smacking the ground from the rest of your boys.

Skateboarding...

Clears the mind after a long day at work or school, takes all the bad things in your life and simply puts them aside for those few hours that you are out of the house just pushing along.

Skateboarding...

The rush you get when you learn a new trick on accident, your just skating, trying varial heels... when you overcompinsate a little and the board spins a bit to much, sure you didnt land the trick but it opened your eyes and mind to the thought of "well maybe i can get it to get the fully roatation?" and you get super stoaked on what could be in the near future.

Skateboarding...

Now its not always the most enjoyable experience... Most kids these days are to worried about " whats that kid throwing down that set?" or "i need to get footy and get sponsored" GET OVER IT! Skateboarding should never be a maticulous act in which you hate doing but feel the need to prove to others that you are better than someone else.

Skateboarding...

Worse then those who do anything for the fame and glory are those who go into solitary confinement when they skate... No friends, no fun, no nothing... Just them and an iPOD against the world... I mean, dont get me wrong I have had mine before you even knew what an iPOD was... But i dont go to the park blaring music to loud to pay attention to others skating... They give NO recognition to anyone who lands anything and often find themselves being ran into because they cant focus on whats at hand...

Skateboarding...

This double-edged sword leaves some bruised and broken, but its the price they are willing to pay to feel the freedom and acceptance that goes along with it. Others outside the skateboard world will never understand why we spend hours upon hours perfecting our craft... to them they see angry teens breaking the law and pushing around some 2x4's straped to some skates... they will never realize the impact skateboarding has had on so many peoples lives.

Skateboarding...

My Blog: Death Letter
By: cetra70

Doesn't that sound so sinister? "Death Letter" Dum dum dum... No, I'm not gonna die anyime soon...at least, not that I know of...

Anyway, I got one from my friend today, so I have been inspired to write one myself...except that I don't know HOW to write a death letter. Lemme try anyway...

To...everyone:

Okay, so how you got this letter and when, I have absolutely no idea. But you were meant to get it after I died...

So I'm gone now...how very pleasant. Rest assured that I'm not bitter about it...I'm happy with the life I've lived. I have great friends who are always there for me...well, maybe not ALWAYS always, but whenever I do need you, you're always there for me. So now that I'm somewhere else, don't forget that I'm always watching, and if you need me, i'll be there :) But you probably won't see me unless you have an "opened third eye". Then there are my parents... ... ...*what am i supposed to say?!* Well, thanks you guys for raising me...well, I think...lol. We got in fights "every now and then" *ahem*, but we usually resolved it within a day or two. Thanks for letting me meet everyone that has made my life so wonderful.

So now you probably think I'm really cheesy and stuff, but I like cheese, so HA! Anyway, my life was obviously not ALL happy, some parts were just amazingly enjoyable, the others were just...BLEAGH. Without you guys (and girls) there to support me, I would probably not have gotten over those bad times.

So (the third "so"), thank you for everything you've done for me. I've probably also done a thing or two for you, but really, a debt is never fully repaid...So thanks for everything, and if I've done something to affect your life for better: you're welcome; if its something negative: whoopsies, sorry about that...

P.S. Omg, noboody cry! Well, you can cry, but not TOO much...How do you think I'd feel watching you from heaven (or hell, depends...lol) crying because of ME...that would not be a pleasant sight for me, most definitely...so live happy lives for me, will ya? Cuz you know, the world really needs more happy people

P.S.S. I'll be waiting for you all...but no need to rush :D

P.S.S.S. We better get the test curve in Geometry, or else my test score'll be doomed! XP---sorry, it's still in my mind >.>

Wonderful so wonderful is your unfailing love
Your cross is spoken mercy over me
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart can fully know
How glorious, how beautiful you are

Chorus:
Beautiful one I love
Beautiful one I adore
Beautiful one my soul must sing

Powerful so powerful your glory fills the skies
Your mighty works displayed for all to see
The beauty of your majesty awakes my heart to sing
How marvelous, how wonderful you are

Chorus(x2)

You’ve opened my eyes to your wonders anew
Captured my heart with this love
‘Cause nothing on earth is as beautiful as you

You’ve opened my eyes to your wonders anew
Captured my heart with this love

My Blog: EA's SKATE™
By: Eeh_Boi

The closest thing to being on a skateboard, Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS) announced September 19, 2006 that SKATE will be released for the PlayStation®3 system and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system in 2007. SKATE will deliver the feel of skating through innovative controls, authentic cameras and a fully reactive skateboarding city. The game so far features professional skaters such as Danny Way, Jerry Hsu, Chris Cole, Jason Dill, Dennis Busenitz, and PJ Ladd, as well as a reactive city and relevant in-game cameras that capture and deliver the most authentic skateboard videogame experience to date.

"Our game offers a skate mecca for both skaters and gamers in search of the definitive authentic skating video game experience," said Scott Blackwood, executive producer, EA Black Box. "We’re focused on capturing the actual feeling of skating with the innovative control system, the physics driven animations, and the intelligent cameras working together to really deliver the closest thing to being on a board."

SKATE’s unique control scheme captures the true feel of skating versus the typical button mashing gameplay of past skating games (Thrasher's Skate And Destroy, Grind Session & The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Series). Featuring physics-driven animations, gamers will have a unique gaming experience every time they pick up the controller since no two tricks will ever be the same.

Developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, British Columbia, SKATE will deliver all the style, fun, creativity and culture of skateboarding without the countless hours of practice, broken bones and hospital visits. SKATE has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

we really arent going to ever meet anyways...that totally makes me feel all happy inside :(

Ugh... I can't stop thinking about what happened this  week... It's f*cking with my mind so much, I can't even fully function, let alone finish my homework...

How could I have been so stupid? Have you ever woken up crying?

I've cried myself to sleep lots of times, but today was the first time I've ever actually woken up crying.

I tried, but I couldn't stop crying or even fully function.

Oh well.

hey slam!!! and all the cool skaters that read your mag!, i just went to the perth baker demo at manning skatepark and it was awesome Andrew Reynolds was fully sick he performed a massive hardflip over the fun box and a tre flip off the bank and T.K also ripped it up so did everyone else well except for on person and i know some people might think im crazy saying this and know it's probably only in this one time that this will ever happen but Dustin Dollin sucked it took an hour to get him to skate he tried the same trick 3 times landed it and that was it, I am so pissed off about that but the rest of the demo was awesome. Midway through the demo some New Zealanders puleed up on the top off the quarter pipe in a thriffy van and a little bit later one of the New Zealander's dogs ran through the skatepark mid demo it was hillarious, later near the end of the demo the commentators said that everyone that brought some rubbish to the van would get a free deck so everyone rushed over to the van with hands full of rubbish yelling at the kiwis for free decks and started throwing bottles it was great. When BAKER were giving away decks two guys got into a massive fight over one. i know i said that the rest of the demo was awesome earlier but one thing really bad happened this guy had a massive stack on the bank and had passed out for half an hour and had broken his arm...that was gnarly but other than that the demo was awesome, Bye.

Since this is our first blog on here reffering to the Scoff Project. I feel I will have to go throught the history with you all.
We came up with an idea "Wouldn't it be great to build the largest skate ramp in town?" ha And since that we have gather wood from a fellow super-intendent who practically provided us will all the plyood we neede to build this project and some. We were going to build a 8ft launch ramp with a rollin in height of 13-15ft and 2-3ft wide. We estimate you will hit the bottom between 20-30 mph and be shot at least 12ft high into the air.
We are planning on making a documentry of the building of the mini-mega ramp and show everything that all went into the thought about it. Expected to be released June 2007.

 So let the construction began...
in the beginigng
Just about to lay the ply

We would build the sections of the ramp and haul them out to the back where we had a levy to support roll-in.The walk was about 2 acres or just a about 1 football field length.
From the hill
Top view of the ramp, with first part of the runway attached

Soon after building the next 2 runway peices we realized that they would be to skinny and need to widen them incase of speed wobbles became an issue. We don't want people getting thrown down hill slaming into theground. We want them getting thrown up the ramp! A week later we widen the runway another 1.5 ft - 2ft and started work on the roll-in.
the Scoff project - side view
Side view of ramp w/ the skinny runway

Now the roll-in was probally the trickiest and hardest part of this whole project, cause of it having to custom fit to the side and top of the levy and remain level.
 Scoff rollin
 The Roll-in underconstruction

We had to custom build every peice of ply to fit the levy the best we could and still go flush with the rest of the run. That was very difficult. When we finally got it built there was a small problem with it getting flush with the rest of the run and its started to rain and freeze over the night. So we had to bring the whole 12ft long roll-in back to the house to be rebuilt and worked on. After the freeze was easing off we took the tarp off the ramp and started back to work.

We got all the peices assmbled and connected, then work on making sure the rollin was flowing with the rest of the run. 2 days later its finshed. Not to you all we only spent $30 on this whole project so far!!! Next month we will overlap it with masonitte.

-Latest update-
So then after building it over a period of 3 weeks its done. The last day of assembling the ramp was the hardest. Mainly because the rollin (which is 12ft long) ran into some problems and we had to make sure it connected just right with the track.
Fixing the Roll-in
The roll-in under contruction

I even manage to loose control of it while moving it and slide half way down the hill. None the less I got quite a few slivers, scrapes and sore neck to boot. Well here you go the finall photos of the finished ramp.

Along side the ramp - from ontp the levy.

Expected test runs will happen this saturday.
Rob a clovis local and friend of mine will be the brave soul to first launch from the ramp to FLAT! Yes you heard it, to flat! Why him and not me you ask...Well he has better health insurance. lol We are launching to flat to determine how large the gap is and then build the landing bank in that position for a true big air manueuver. Once the ramp is fully finished we will schedule a date and take the ramp apart and rebuild it all in hopefully one day. The whole day will be recorded and editied for the upcoming video(THE SCOFF PROJECT - Building a Monster), the next months will be used to capture footage of local and visiting skaters performing their own insane stunts and bails.

Also check out our website Scoff Skateboarding for an exclusive photo of the ramp and the builder and see how big it really is. Photo to be released on website by 1-18-07

It was 9am on Monday  when we left Stiffy's, an hour late, and the Dope Show had already begun.  It was hype since the night before, trying to round up the team and all the equipment we would need for the four days in the interior to come.  The only thing set in stone is that we were going north, and not going back until we had a documented road trip to show off.

Once we packed the Stiffy's van full to the brim of 5 riders, a filmer and myslef, we headed out towards Hope, as the van swayed at top speeds going up the Trans Canada Highway, it became clear that she might not make it the entire way.....

On a positve note, three hours into the trip we found a fully skateable sick ass bank just under the over pass of the freeway to Hope. Only a few hours after leaving, we already had an hour a footage, a roll of photos, and a friendly encounter with the RCMP.  We were off to a good start.

   Jessie b/s flip

The police officer made it clear that our time there was done, and we were quick to pack up.  We only stopped once for gas, and Jessie took over driving for a while.  Our next stop was in the city of Kelowna.  It took us alittle while to find Ben Lee skatepark, but we did after too long and setup shop.

We stayed in Kelowna that night and camped at Gyro Beach on Lake Okanagan.  The night was fun, and in the morning we were all feeling another shoot at Ben Lee.  More than anyone, G was wanting to go back for the kink.

The plan was to skate Kelowna in the morning and into the afternoon, until it got too hot, wait alittle while for it to cool down, and then drive on to Kamloops.  After the morning at Ben Lee, Alan was calling for a curve rail we saw the day before.  It was the last shoot of the day, both G and Alan threw down.

We went through Westbank, to get on the 97 highway that would take us through Merrit eventually making it to Kamloops.  Kamloops was a few hours away, assuming we could maintain an alright speed going up the highway.  It was that concept, and my ignorance to which gear I was driving in that delayed us for something like 16 hours.  60 kilometers outside of Merrit, our van had enough.  We were able to pull over to a safe spot on the highway before she finally layed down for the night.  Nothing to do about it in the late afternoon in the middle of the BC interior, we called it a day, and setup for the night.

With great care, we drove the van into Merrit the next morning, with an average speed of 60 on the 110 km/h highway.  Right after grocery shopping, the van cut out.  Luckily, right infront of a retired mechanic.  He took care of us and fixed our van up, from there she ran alright.  Next stop, Kamloops.

We first stopped at Kamloops' old park.  For those of you who know the Pitt Meadows park, it's about the same.  G and I went off to find a few things around town, and heard about a skate spot at an ice arena near the new park.

When we found Kamloops' first phase to the soon to be massive McArthur Island Park (designed by Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen) . We spent the rest of our day there, and what turned out to be the rest of our time in the interior.  That night we slept a few hundred meters away on a basketball court, all in the same park.  The whole team called for a final stop at the Hope skatepark.  It was a good cap on the trip.  It was our first and final shoot.

It was a successful trip, and lots of fun despite the few problems we had.  It was alot to learn in four days, but we took it all in stride.  Start to finish, it was the Dope Show.  Dust your shoulders off.  t*

"Fully Alive"

Telling Layla's story spoken
'Bout how all her bones are broken
Hammers fall on all the pieces
Two months in the cover creases

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

All my complaints shrink to nothing
I'm ashamed of all my somethings
She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Grow More Pot
by Jello Biafra
From I Blow Minds for a Living, recorded at Slim's, San Francisco, Nov 21, 1990

Does anybody out there know that for the first time in American history the U.S. Army was used in a war operation against the American people? Right near here, up in Humboldt County about 200 miles north of San Francisco right near a town called Shelter Cove, get this: three- to four-hundred American G.I.s dressed with automatic rifles and fully armed for battle, fanned out on maneuvers through the woods, backed up by a dozen Blackhawk attack helicopters. The mountain people up there were frightened out of their wits! They thought there was a war going on, especially the ones that had soldiers kicking in the doors to their cabins and putting guns to their heads in front of their children.

Why!? Who was the enemy in this war? Not the communists! Not Saddam Hussein! Not Earth First! or even the spotted owl. No! The enemy they called out the army to put down, secretly, so few people outside of Humboldt would get alarmed as possible, it wasn't even a person or an army or a terrorist group! It was a plant, the marijuana plant.

And they actually did manage to find a few for the G.I.s to pull up, and then they had to fly in more from the government stash so the pile would look big enough when they lit the bonfire for the network TV news cameras, so that they could say "Yes! Another triumph in the Drug War!"

Drug War. War. The American army sent to war against the American people. And we're supposed to feel relieved and secure and protected. Protected from what?!

A lot of people with more guts than I'll ever have risked their life and limb all last summer at the Earth First! Redwood Summer Action up in Humboldt County. They were chaining themselves to redwoods that were three times wider than they were, 800 years old, they were spread-eagled, as the saws buzzed right over their heads. They stood in the dirt as the bulldozers charged them and stopped right at their toes. Or people waved clubs at them, charged them with logging trucks, shotguns, you name it. All to try to save some of the last unspoiled virgin forest we have left anywhere in this country from being chopped down and turned into toilet paper, TV Guides and the Weekly World News.

On the other side the loggers saying "What about our jobs!? What about our families!? What about our lives?! You needed wood and cardboard to make those protest signs!"

We need fuel! We need paper! It's almost gone! Where are we gonna get more? The answer, for centuries, has been right under our nose: grow more pot!

If we're serious about saving the earth, saving the ozone and our freedom to go about saving the earth and the ozone, we should start by paying all those dirt-poor coca farmers in South America and out-of-work loggers in Fortuna and Eureka, and Midwest family farmers and rust-belt families too, to all get together and grow more pot!

Why? Get ready for this...! There's a book out called The Emperor Wears No Clothes. The author's name is Jack Herer. It's published by Queen of Clubs, and I think there's ads for it in High Times, or NORML, the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws, could direct you to a copy I'm sure, and in this book, among other places, it is written that before the 20th century, the marijuana plant provided almost all the world's paper, all the world's clothing and textiles, and almost all the world's rope.

According to none other than the U.S. Department of Agriculture you can make four times as much paper from one acre of hemp plants as you can from an acre of trees. And instead of chopping down all the redwoods in Humboldt County and turning Northern California, Oregon and Washington and Appalachia into the Sahara Desert, if you do it with hemp plants, you can just grow another crop a few months later and make more paper! At one-quarter the cost of making paper from wood pulp and only one-fifth the pollution. The ancient Romans knew this and grew it, Henry VIII made each farmer in old England grow their share, because they knew if you want the strongest natural fiber there is, you all have gotta do your part for the King and grow more pot!

And we did, too! Guess what Levi jeans were originally made out of? And guess what American flags used to be made out of? And guess what the early drafts of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were written on? And if that's too un-Christian for you, guess what they made Guttenberg and King James Bibles out of? Guess what you can use to power a car? You can get at least four times as much cellulose to make gasohol or methanol from hemp stems as you can from a corn stalk. Which along with solar energy would be a great way to avoid dying for oil in Saudi Arabia.

In the 1920s and 1930s most American cars and farm machinery had the option of running on gas or on methanol; most racing cars still do run on methanol. And George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew cannabis on their plantations and smoked it, too!

In the 1760s in the American colonies you could even be jailed for not growing pot! Because that was part of the key to becoming economically independent from Britain. Hemp was legal tender in the Americas, a substitute for money, from 1630 clear up to the early 1800s. And hemp seeds are a great source of protein, better than soybeans, and it's cheaper than soybeans, too. Or so says the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Marijuana is legal for medical use in 34 states used to treat glaucoma and pain caused by cancer, and you can digest more protein from a hemp seed than a soybean seed. It's even shown some signs at being able to combat herpes. And, guess what kind of a parachute Mr. Drug War Junta-Man himself George Bush used when he bailed out of that bomber in World War II?

Hemp was illegal by then, but farmers were briefly ordered to grow it again in this country for the war effort and all, and the U.S. Army had their own stash all along in the colonies in the Philippines.

So, how did everything get turned around so damn bad? Doesn't it strike you as a little dumb that we burn oil and choke ourselves and chop down all our trees and ruin innocent people's lives by branding them criminals and throwing them in jails, or sending them off to drug camps, or taking all their property and selling it before they're brought to trial? In the process, making crack and heroin cheaper and easier to get than pot? Why do we do this when we don't have to?

Meanwhile the Police Chief of L.A., Darryl Gates gets front page approval for telling a U.S. Senate committee that pot smokers should be shot on sight. Because smoking pot is treason because, after all, it's illegal.

Why was marijuana cracked down on? And why was it done so violently? Well ... Ready?!

In 1936 Popular Mechanics magazine hailed the invention of a new machine to process hemp, predicting that marijuana/hemp would once again become the world's largest cash crop. This did not at all sit well with people like Hearst Paper Manufacturing or Kimberly-Clark or other cutthroat multinationals who happen to have large timber holdings. It didn't sit to well with tobacco barons for obvious reasons, and it sure as hell didn't sit too well with old buddies DuPont. Hemp processing uses only one-fifth the chemicals need to process wood pulp, and DuPont had just patented a new wood pulp sulfide process, and DuPont's patented plastic fibers had just passed up hemp as the No. 2 fiber, next to cotton, and they wanted to keep it that way!

And the last thing the big drug companies wanted was to lose their share of the ever lucrative disease industry market, to more affordable medicine made from marijuana or other natural ingredients because, check this out, you can't own and make money off a patent for medicine in this country, unless the medicine has chemicals in it. If it's all natural ingredients, you can't patent it. Maybe that's why we don't have access to a cure for cancer or AIDS, or why the health food store I go to keeps getting harassed by federal authorities for selling herbal medicines.

Meanwhile, guess who owns Congress? So marijuana was outlawed in 1937 and they fanned the racism fires playing the racism card just like they do when they want to crack down on rock-and-roll or rap or hip hop or something like that. They said that smoking marijuana might cause you to fall under the influence of listening to jazz! I believe that it was even said on the floor of Congress that marijuana had to be banned because smoking it might make a black man look at a white woman twice. And let's not forget that U.S. Treasury Department funded documentary film, called, "Reefer Madness!" So marijuana was outlawed as devil weed in 1937. Only 53 years ago it was legal. Need I say more, on why our beloved fearless leaders go out of their way to censor our access to information so damn much? Can you imagine the mass outrage if this kind of stuff ever really got out? And people knew that this big drug problem that they keep reading about and hearing about is being caused by the government themselves? And people knew how easily each one of us individually could turn our ecological and human crisis around without resorting to Nazi bullshi*t like oil wars and drug wars by just saying no! to George Bush.

And if people knew that the very companies that provide us with such crucial conveniences as Kleenex, paper towels and junk mail, have systematically and brutally rearranged every single one of our lives so that we are literally wiping our ass with out own future?

And it doesn't have to be this way! I mean, I'll tell you, I do feel kind of funny saying all this because I used to be a pothead and I hate smoking the stuff, and the whole low-energy stoner Deadhead vibe that comes with it. But, you don't need to smoke pot to realize that the real drug problem in this country is not the drugs. And we can help solve drug problems, crime problems, environmental problems - even our racial problems if we say no to George Bush and get together and grow more pot!
