CORE Action Takes on the Action Sports Community

Grapevine, Texas (November 21, 2008)--CORE Action has entered full-steam into the action sports social culture. Having completed its beta-stage the CORE Action website has launched revealing its edgy, gritty look and first-rate content. At the heart of COREaction.com is the Nation, an action sports community that provides a forum for enthusiasts of all ages to communicate, share and express themselves through the sports they love.

CORE Action also provides its viewers with day-to-day coverage of what's happening in the action sports world--skateboarding, snow sports, surfing, motocross, BMX and water sports are all covered highlighting the best news, events, photos and videos from each discipline. CORE also informs and entertains users with in-house video coverage, featuring one-on-one interviews with top-pros, hot on the scene action from local and national events and short entertaining vignettes to get the adrenaline pumping.

While CORE reports on what's going on in the pro scene, our real ambition is to provide a forum for the young and up-and-coming athletes to get their story out and let themselves be known. Gone are the days of sending in "sponsor-me" tapes to companies in desperate and often futile attempts to get noticed. With CORE, the athlete can log-on to the Nation and post a bio, videos and photos in an effort to promote themselves within the community. CORE's main objective is to support the sport's underdogs and amateurs and to forge lasting partnerships within our member network as we grow into the future.

"Not only do we provide up-to-date original content, but we do it in a safe environment where kids are protected and can be among their peers." Kent Holcomb, President of CORE Action explains, "We closely follow the COPPA laws which protect underage kids from predators and mature content."

Nick Moscia CORE Action Marketing Director agrees, "We're all about reaching out to the action sports community. For us, it's about the kids. This is a place where they can hang out, chat with friends and check out the latest videos, news and events."

The CORE staff comes from within the action sports culture--skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, BMX and motocross. From the slopes of the Rocky Mountains to waves of Cocoa Beach, Florida, the CORE crew are embedded in their prospective scenes. Preserving the culture and empowering riders to enjoy their sports and to reach full potential is our objective at CORE Action.

CORE Philosophy--Within every discipline of action sports lay a CORE group of people. They are the ones pushing the boundaries and limits on a daily basis. CORE riders raise the bar and create new standards for the rest to follow. They are the epicenter of the Industry and help keep our Culture alive and thriving. These devoted folks eat, drink and sleep the sport which they are true to and willingly make sacrifices to keep the ride going. Living a CORE lifestyle defines these individuals and establishes a place for them in this world...

CORE Action was founded in 2007 and is an internet-based action sports community which specializes in social networking and providing premium action sports related content. For more information go to www.COREaction.com.

Here's the 2nd part I might create an alternative ending..If my mood gets any better..My apologies for my dark attitude. Uhm well if you've noticed I've kinda taken out the original verse just cuz I didn't like it..but I'm still keeping that third line to put it in the noe new original(actually alternative) verse. lol & I still gotta unjumble some line in the verse lol.

The Report Comes In. Just As a Sin,
It's been too long to confess..& the boy's okay
but his hearts in repair. This girl's got his heart in a hole
She'll confess the truth. The day of romance was a day
for forgivness, The girls been with the guys
She was her many lovers, but the boys she's been keen to
Is dead inside & the surgeons just aren't there to help.
He's ready to die..But to realize from his last mistake
He was the rash & the horrible mood, forgetting the words
of the good & never seeing the light just as the girl
would realize she'll never see the boy her heart was meant for,
but changed the fate & forever will the boy begone from her life.

The final candle was blown, the girl is gone in her mind for a few years
as her 20th birthday was the day she'd never forget
with drunken eyes all the ones who ever cared about her was there,
Even that boy she was so cold & broken before
& looking into his eyes she felt the feeling
her smile that would make anyone smile..

SOME LINE OUT THERE (NOT PART OF SONG) VERSE:
murmered under his breathe "Thought to love you in the end.Forever & ever."

ALTERNATIVE VERSE:
But the boy stood there holding out the present
To have a box she opened it quickly & as she opened..
a tune rang out resembling a song on the day,
the day when the he had first held her in her arms
& looked into her beautiful eyes, her memories rushed into her head
& she held the boy tight promising to never let go..
But it was all in the head..When she looked up the boy,
he was gone & had rushed out the door she grapsed the floor
finally snapped in her head & she was insane in her eyes
& In the adrenaline rush she tackled
the boy held her in her arms as the boy stood in the snow
& he looked up at the sky remembering the days..
He's finally seen the light He forgave her
& held her as if this was the last time
& kept the happy ending he'd always want with her forever & ever
Finally whispering "I love you."

My Blog: VolleyBall
By: frum_kona

1st Post~
anyway this is actually about the fact i have joined the volleyball team. wow... its a weird honor. the volleyball seasons almost over and i just joined. but we do practice all year (wow... that word... "we"). so the rest of the team says i should be good by next year. My coach (coach *shudders*) told pretty much everyone and whats weird is he kept pointing at me while he was talking to the rest of the team (one by one which made it worse) so i felt pretty awkward... then later he said that a couple people on the team said i was good and its a good thing for me to join, so that makes it all good. I'm still kinda... well not exactly afraid but... (you know) because a couple of the people on the team think i'm an immature freshman (screw them!) but, hey, i'll prove to them i'm good at what i do.
and first practice is tomorrow so i'm excited... (nervous)

EDITED~Playing for a volleyball team SUCKS. Really... i'm not used to calling out "I GOT IT!" or "MINE!!" mostly because i played for fun before, but now that i was actually practicing with a team, i just got really nervous, had an adrenaline rush, and that made it so i couldn't focus. I know if i had been playing with friends rather than these upperclassmen i didn't even know, i would have done a great job... plus there were all these rules and stuff i had NO idea about... for instance the team can only hit the volleyball 3 times and make it over or the opposing team gets a point... and another one was that the person by the net in the middle (setter i think) can't hit the ball first when it comes over. its such a different way of playing and i got all confused and embarrassed... and then i know that the rest of the volleyball team still has games (i entered late so i can't participate until next year) and their practice is ALL for competition, so i feel like i'm holding them back. gosh i feel like an idiot... and then coach had to keep giving me tips which was very degrading... oy... and then i kept doing what he just told me not to do which was worse because he kept reminding me and i kept saying "yeah, yeah, yeah...." or "i know, i know..." and some of the team kept saying "then why don't you just do it?" the truth was i DID do it... most of the time... and when i would notice i'd fix the problem... i think the worst part was going too far forward and having the ball hit me in the face... it didn't really hurt but i still looked like an IDIOT doing it... and then (as i mentioned before) i'm not used to people calling it before they hit it and every time someone did call it i'd hit it anyway (and screw it up...imagine that...) oh gosh that’s not even the end of it all either... near the 1.5 hours we had been playing (practice is 2 hours) my asthma started up. oh god. great. so i was short of breath and went to take a break because i couldn’t breathe. and then i started wheezing. ugh... i took the dosage of my inhaler i needed and it didn't help. so i waited another couple minutes to see if it was helping any. it wasn't. so then everyone took a water break and coach came up to me. i was kinda like "oh great. this should be interesting. he’s probably going to make me play or do give me more tips or SOMETHING embarrassing" so he just sat down and asked me if i was “just going to wait it out”, but i had already called my dad and “what can we do to fix this” (we? Ha ha…) I answered with “I GUESS I can go to the doctor and get something better because this inhaler isn’t working anymore” and he pretty much just nodded… and said “be cool” which was kinda… weird… and something I don’t remember… you could tell he wanted me to stay and play (maybe...) but i was having too many problems (yippee *sarcasm*) so then he said “oh then just be cool” (i'm just glad he didn't want me to die from lack of oxygen....) then my dad came and picked me up and coach and his assistant said bye… I think the rest of the team was happy about me leaving… and right now i'm glad i stopped when i did, because right now i'm coughing really badly, although i can breathe steadily. but i feel really stupid about today anyway. but right now (as I sit typing) I feel like slitting my throat open and bleeding to death, or going to school and doing something I feel good about… class work. But thanks for reading this, really. I feel better. Just be sure to leave a comment so I know you actually did read.

Oh and patience was never, ever my grace,
Unrequited Love

Love is an interesting thing. It shows up when you least expect it or don't feel like you have time in your life for it, yet it's completely scarce when you are lonely, desperate and looking for it. We spend so much of our lives craving love and wanting to find that special someone but when we have them we spend most of that time trying to fix them or change them for the better. We are always wanting more. And even if you tell yourself a thousand times to be in the moment and try not to think so much you still end up pushing them away from you. Love sucks. Yet we all want it. And if love is hell, which I'm sure it is...I'm sure we'd all want to go there when we die. Including me.

Lets just say living off 6 hours of sleep is starting to take it's toll on me.  I don't think I've had more than that in over 4 months now.  Work has just kicked in again, so I'm that typical weekend warrior.  I usually put 400-500km on my car on any given weekend, but this past weekend was a little more.  Thank God I didn't blow 1,000km or I'd have to get my 2nd oil change this month.

Why you ask?  Why drive so much just to stand around and take a photo?  It's the fact that I'm out there, still enjoying the snow.  It's people like Paul Welters who gives his all every time I go with him.  It's the feeling of adrenaline while watching people push the level of snowboarding to new heights.  No photographer is in this game for the money, but I can tell you right now, money would be a nice thing right about now.

Snowboarding in the rain began to take its toll and I found myself looking to ulterior methods of solving my adrenaline addiction.  Minutes after Christmas dinner, I found myself rounding up the gear and sleeping bag in my car and booking it up to Whistler.  The long windy stretch can be lonely at 10pm on a Sunday night, so I stopped by and picked up Mike on the way.  Wrong move, we got stuck behind an accident for 2 hours.
Monday morning was among the better days of the season.  Mike, Sara and I went and tracked out some freshies under 7th heaven and found ourselves smiling all day long.  The next 6 days were spent on Whistler riding the "Rosa Family Lap".  This run was epic, and never tracked.  Word of mouth spread quickly and by Sunday, people were flocking out of nowhere to hit the freshies.  Barry, Etienne, Aby and I found our way over to some cliffs and got out kicks there.
And of course, New Years Eve.  The first annual GLC party kicked off well with a flat down box setup and a 1.5:1 girl to guy ratio.  Ya, they know how to do it.
Nick and I valiantly tried to get the bon fire going with some gasoline but to no avail.  Finally, after getting the beast blazing, the neighbour flipped out and the beast was put to rest.  Another time Nick, another time.
About an hour later, I found myself stumbling to another house party with a live band.  Blah blah 5 bottles of champaigne everywhere blah blah and off to bed.
I'm tired of writting this blog and I'm off to Whistler again tomorrow with Paul.  Rant over.

And you thought the last blog was long...

Greeetings and welcome to the end of the summer! Yes, it sucks that summer is ending and the chicks will all be wearing more clothes and stuff, but look on the bright side - we're getting close to snowboard season again!I for one am dying to go riding again. I miss the adrenaline rush!

Anyway, things with the company are going alright. We have some administrative help now, to deal with a lot of the legal BS of running a corporation. The game itself is goin a bit slower than expected, as we have had to clean out the company of lazy people. Yay. We have a mini-game near completion now, which is a puzzle game for cell phones. It should be ready to be released in 2 weeks from now, so that'll help promote the company some more. Other than that, we're still working, and trying to get some investors. Work work work...

Want to go boarding! Grah! _
