So as I was flipping through the channels day while sick, I stumbled across the Maury show on tv. I forget the title of the show, but they showed people skating and falling and one of the clips was of someone try to ollie like a 15 set and when the kids fell everyone in the audience and Maury laughed. That pissed me off so much!!! Why would they think thats funny? People like that are whats wrong with society. Its the enemy to skateboarders.

Hello, we are Change Skateboards (Jeff Rae and James Denomme), created on a cold Windsor evening in the winter of 03. It was originally based out of there, but these days we’re up in Toronto. The goal we started with, and still really push for, is to do something different with skateboards on a local level. That’s pretty much the reason for the move up here, to really get to know people and the local shops.

Promo trailer for the upcoming Change film "Fireworks, Dancing and Cartwheels.

Both of us strongly believe in North American made decks and wheels, for quality and political goodness. We also try to promote awareness of this and other issues. For example, we are releasing a board series soon focused solely on tree replanting to keep the North American woods and environment booming.

As for this summer, our main focus is on “Fireworks, Dancing, and Cartwheels” (our first full video, not just a random selection of exciting activities). The release should be by late August, with promo parties in select cities (Toronto, Detroit, Windsor, Thunder Bay). Parts from all of our team riders will be featured, as well as clips from many of the friends we’ve met along the way. This summer will also mark our 4th year in business, and our 3rd annual Game of Skate Tour (keep your ears open). Last year in the Toronto tour stop at Adrift was great, and we’re pushing for a bigger turn out this year.

The plan… We want to keep it going. There’s still tons to learn and we’re always looking to build on the success we’ve been able to grab hold of so far. Our main priorities are really simple; keep this fun, push it as far as possible, meeting new people, and of course skating.

The Change team is Jesse Tessier, Hill Sulpher, Jesse Nymsel, Mitch Pryma, Dallas Ives, Kelley Hice, Chris Quick (film), and Dave Todon (photos).

Check out the Change site CHANGESKATEBOADS.COM for news, team profiles, contact information, and links to supporting retailers. Thanks again to Lenny and everyone at SkateboardVillage for the opportunity to let the frequenters of this site know who we are, as well as all of our team riders (formal and informal), Chris Quick, Devin Guiney, Dave Todon, and everyone who is down.
