Robert Lopez, from Puerto Rico, is one skate machine that doesn't have an off switch. Put anything in his way and he'll annihilate it. Big gaps? Crazy rails? It doesn't matter! Robert skates like angry Silverback gorilla with the power to bulldoze anything that stands in his path. 14-4 brings you a full part that's not suitable for the weak-willed.

The Planet Earth skate crew went on a trip to Greece for some homemade Gyros and Pita Bread, and instead came back with a full skate part featuring Nate Broussard, Steve Nesser, and Jon Newport. Get ready to smash some plates on your head!

What's young, Brazilian and rips? Why, it's Danny Cerezini of course! Currently holding it down in the OC, this up-and-coming Am is throwing it down all over the place, and making it look too easy while he's at it! This smooth part from Danny will sure open your eyes!

What's a synonym for Switchstance? Andre Genovesi! Recently added to the Hosoi Skates Pro roster, 411's got the debut pro part with the master of switch himself! This guy takes a licking and keeps on ticking! Also featuring Christian Hosoi, Daniel Cardone and Richard Mulder, you won't want to miss this!

Daewon Song, Daniel Castillo, Zered Bassett, Chico Brenes and Torey Pudwill spent two weeks touring Mexico and Costa Rica, eating some good authentic cuisine and shredding up some unique spots. Did you see that line up? Yeah, this Chupa Cabra Tour is on point!

To wrap everything up, 14-4 brings you Chico Brenes, the Nicaraguan-turned-SF-native whose ability to push should be a trick in S.K.A.T.E. Also featuring Mike Carroll, Daewon Song, Rick Howard, Danny Castillo, and Jeron Wilson, nobody comes with cleaner lines than this man, and 14-4's got a full part to back it.

14-4 did some last minute looking around and was able to snag these Special Features just in time for the holidays: The Pro-Tec Pool Party featuring Chris Miller, Omar Hassan and Jeff Grosso; the Vans Downtown Showdown featuring Josh Harmony, Rick McCrank, Corey Duffel and Nick Dompierre; and the Slam Trick Contest featuring Andre Genovesi, Chris Pfanner and Tony Magnusson (!) that went down in Ravenna, Italy.

Ok, this is a new blog. I am no good with this editorial stuff so I’ll tell you this is just my mind at work and not some dumb essay.

To tell you about me, I am all about harmony and balance and all that hippie jazz. But whats odd is that I allow my friends to disrupt that harmony by sitting there fighting and screaming at each other and believing it is the way you demand respect. But as I learn, you never demand respect, you earn it, and if you don’t wanna earn it or cant, tough luck. But back to the topic, I am all about harmony and balance despite my demonic and cynical side. And if you choose to disrupt that balance, if it cant, I’ll fix it, and if that dosent work I will get rid of the problem. And lately the reason is that people don’t learn to laugh at themselves as much as they laugh at others. I love to laugh, and if someone calls me something I just joke about it or laugh. But everything has to be taken into offense and everything said about people is the worst in the world. When those people don’t realize is that people live to hurt people and you give them control when you give them the reaction they want. If you laugh about it, it wont bother you and they’ll stop or just make a joke, once again, no big deal.

Mariah Carrie once said, “ shake it off” follow that phrase, I do.

And once again people, f*ck up my harmony, and I will cast you out.

Well I'm happy to say after the last blog post that winter got it's act together and started snowing. It's been puking snow for the last few weeks, and I think we've got something like 8 or 9 feet since Christmas.
After last year's terrible winter (and I mean terrible, I think we had HALF the snowfall of the previous WORST winter on record), it's soo nice to ride some powder again, and to see some of my favorite lines fill in.

Rode down the chute in the middle of the Harmony waterfalls today, first time riding that this year, it was sweet, one of my more favorite lines around there. My friend Alex and I also went on this crazy line off the t-bars last weekend that I originally looked at about 8 years ago, but never actually did. It didn't have many turns, but it sure was an adventure line.

All in all, good times for winter. Ooh, that and I bought a new snowboard suit. It's tan plaid, and I even bought the matching hat, how lame am I?

im sorry we all cant be little tony hawks and andy mcdonnalds f*ck you little kids-- dont talk sh*t-- skating is about having fun and progressing at your own pace

and even if these little kids can do the tricks they say they can odds are they have only landed them once out of luck and have no style whatsoever

not that im saying im much better i am a terrible skateboarder, probably becasue i dont skate as much as i should, mainly due to the fact that for a large portion of the school year my school is buried under several feet of snow and then when it thaws out i have to leave and then when i am home i am working most of the time plus i am the only skater left in my town which sucks but any way, i digress, in short dont talk sh*t-- if you do then you are to quote Stevo from SLC punk nothing but a trendy ass poser so f*ck all you little Groms and you trendy ass posers who have nothing better to do then to rip on other people

I often wonder why skateboarding why were we drawn to it what makes it so differnt from other sports or past times, what sets it apart from everything else and thus sets us apart from everyone else. is it the fact that it is non conformist non traditional maybe though that shouldnt be the reason for doing it that is just a product of it. i submit to you the reader that it is the inherent kinistetic astetic beauty of skateboarding, the way the body moves when skateing. imagine the first time you saw skateboarding whatever it was photo, video, friends. think about how good it looked how crisp and smooth it was. and you found something coming from deep inside you, something saying to you "i want that" think about all the best skaters what makes them great....its not simply the tricks that they can do...but rather how they do them....their style. think about a frontside flip...so many people can do them but yet no one does them like andrew reynolds.....his are uniuqe and special....it is style that makes skateboarding what it is it is the pure astetic beauty of the harmony and sometimes disharmony between the board and the skater........that is skateboarding

Kawaii: You Heard it Here First

Japan's youth are out for thrills, stepping clear of the buttoned-down, uniformed life of their parents and onto society's dance floor.
