Jesus Fernandez, JB Gillet, Mikemo Capaldi, Torey Pudwill, Danny Brady, Marty Murawski, Mike Anderson, Lem Villemin and Vivien Feil experienced the “Grey Daze” Germany had to offer us on the recent Matix trip. The team started off at the Bright Tradeshow in Frankfurt where Mo had a release party for his upcoming signature Asher. Kids lined up to meet the Mo and get a free LTD Mo tee, given to them by Mo himself.

Saturday July 11th the team threw their signatures down on a stack of posters during their signing at Railslide Skateshop, while sipping black coffee. (The Railslide bro’s brewed up at their in-store coffee shop.) After three days in Frankfurt, burned out on tradeshow craze and the few cases of Becks the team had gone through, they packed their bags, crowded into a Euro-size rental van (which was small) and trekked to Berlin.

During their five-day stay in Berlin—no bank was left un-skated, no marble was left un-grinded and no beer was left un-opened. When you’re skating the most unique spots Berlin has to offer with some of our most talented Matix riders, you get a lot of stuff done. From a Titus “Zoopreme” store signing and a load of filming to shooting for a Monster Magazine article the 8-day stay has produced some good coverage available in the near future.

A man was standing in the middle of the desert. There was no sign of life around him, only what once was living, his victims. Before him lay the sheath of a sword; in his hand the sword.

“Calm yourself,” it whispered in his ear, “ you need to focus.”

“ I can’t, it’s much too hard for me.”

“ No! You must…Success is imperative; you don’t want to go back to that place do you?”

“ No you can’t; please don’t…” whimpered the man.

He tried to struggle against himself, straining, unsuccessful.

“Ha ha ha I already told you, your silly attempts are futile; I control you, I am you, I am the blood that courses through your veins, you are at my will”.

“No,” cried the man “ I am not a monster like you!!”

 He fell to the ground and laid the sword before him, through tears he whispers,

“I am not like you…I can’t be like you…I can’t…” he repeats it again and again in a steady murmur. He lurches forward as he feels a sharp pain in his head.

“ See, I did that; you can’t escape me, why would you try, it was you who created me after all; I am the black side of your soul, you put me in this position, I need to be fed” he giggled.

He stood up, grave, worn, his eyes told the tale of a weary man.

“I know what I must do then.”

He picks up the sword and with his finally breath he uttered these words,

“ If this is inevitable, if all that’s left of me is this, then I must leave this all behind; and you shall come with me.”

“Wait! No! What are you doi-“

The man took the sword and thrust it into his stomach; all that was left was the sheath and a somewhat duller sword.

 i am so tired of being walked on
being used
being ignored
Being treated like a monster has

I work and clean and do everything everyone askes
i am everyones gothic cinderella
Is this my destiny
To serve others
to be walked on,
to be invisible?
All i know is deciet and lies
then i get in trouble
I ask why
because after all i learned this all from her?
but i guess when it comes to me
i am the exception.
i was put here to take everyone elses pain
i was sent here to be torchered
to be hated.
so i guess i cant complain after all,
i mean who can fight destiny.

King Everlasting:

Bloodshed, tears

unforgotten tales

the sun shines low over darkness

the doors along the gates of hell

are open and deceive

The monster that lays within the realm

call upon fire and lure

the noble warriors, dressed with everlasting

march trough the gates

just to dissapear

the gold of evil, the cold of heart

it wraps around the nobles

to call upon the worthy king

and answer to his bidding

he leads us into a time of light

the war bleeds on for longer times

with the monster held on enemy lines

out numbered, maybe, though we are

our strenght and cunning go so far

it holds us bound into our battle

the war between love and hate

was ended by, and lost from the eye

memories showed us what to be

hero, legend, enemy, but the one true path we all should know

is to be with king everlasting

the land was burned, with blazing fire

and into the night rode the dragon steeds

like lifeless forms, survivors were cared to

and in the haze, many hearts broke

for the friends souls remain forever in the realm of light

before the battle, we feared the words:

bloodshed, tears

unforgotten tales

the sun shines low over darkness

the doors along the gates of hell

in blinding light we look upon our hope

upon the world, king everlasting

 So let the construction began...

We would build the sections of the ramp and haul them out to the back where we had a levy to support roll-in.The walk was about 2 acres or just a about 1 football field length.

 

So then after building it over a period of 3 weeks its done. The last day of assembling the ramp was the hardest. Mainly because the rollin (which is 12ft long) ran into some problems and we had to make sure it connected just right with the track.

I even manage to loose control of it while moving it and slide half way down the hill. None the less I got quite a few slivers, scrapes and sore neck to boot. Well here you go the finall photos of the finished ramp.

Expected test runs will happen this saturday.
Rob a clovis local and friend of mine will be the brave soul to first launch from the ramp to FLAT! Yes you heard it, to flat! Why him and not me you ask...Well he has better health insurance. lol We are launching to flat to determine how large the gap is and then build the landing bank in that position for a true big air manueuver. Once the ramp is fully finished we will schedule a date and take the ramp apart and rebuild it all in hopefully one day. The whole day will be recorded and editied for the upcoming video(THE SCOFF PROJECT - Building a Monster), the next months will be used to capture footage of local and visiting skaters performing their own insane stunts and bails.
