get a good flexable wood but make sure you have a concrete layer of flooring underneath it so it doesnt fold with in the grass.

I don't actually have any grass in my backyard. i live sort of off-road. it's all caly and hard dirt behind me. so yeah. question: can dirt ruin your bearings? can dirt ruin your skateboard?

Dirt can ruin your bearings if it gets into them...but there's cleaning kits. My advice if you're planning to make an actual park, is you pave a square first, so that you have a flat surface to roll on. If you're just making a mini-ramp, then just level the ground and build right on the dirt.

^dood, dirt can freaking ruin ur bearings real quick. out here in smaller towns, its a real problem. and cleaning kits are a pain in the ass to mess with.

I was thinking bullshit, but I may as well give advice in case someone else is thinking more realistically and needs tips.

Well, let's just say money isn't exactly a problem for me. I happen to have a lot of dough.

IM RICH TOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive got $32.46 in my wallet. if ur skate junk is gonna be outside, cold rolled sheet metal over all ur ramps(super fast), or some skate light stuff(since uve got $$$)ply wood, 2x4s. its all the same. put a covering over the wood(ex: skate light, metal) so it will last. if ur thinkin all urself screw it. ur gonna need help. to make the perfect, and i mean perfect curve in ur QPs, get a bucket, mark six o clock, get a string, pencil, and draw your transition. as u get the pencil around the bucket it will draw an oval shape giving the perfect transition. hells yea

^^^ what the fuck? anyway to answer your question use 3/8" inch Plywood, preferably spruce and make sure its canadian. To build the frame use 3/4" plys and 8 Ft pine studs. after building the frame use two layers of 3/8" inch plywood to form a solid ramp. and to make it nice and smooth use 3/8 inch mdf board. also if you want to know how to get good slope go to Heckler.com and thell tell you real nice. ohhh yeah 1 and 1/2 inch coping is ideal. atntheskater
