Thats my question to you. Do you think its a good idea to shoot many skate shots with a fisheye lens or should the pictures be normal.

I personally love the fisheye And I think that it really adds a lot to the photo and makes it looks more professional even though I think that many of the magazines dont use the fisheye THAT much.

Your opinion!

I like fisheye shots, you can get so close to the action and get a great shot.

haha oh yeah you can get close. sometimes it can be lethal for the camera though. You never know where those skateboards go flying.

I don't think the fisheye is overrated just over used.  I like the look of it don't get me wrong, but i think its used too much.  To me it seems as you can get a good shot with a fisheye lens easier than getting a good shot with anything else.  Its the "easy button" so to speak.  That is just my two cents.

ya fisheyes are waaaaaaaay over used. the videographers that accel are the ones who can shoot amazing long lens shots, and also fisheye shots as well.

they're good when they're used in the proper way.  too much fish sucks...but none sucks even worse.

well depends on the fisheye cause there some crappy ones with too much vig.. and depends on the shot like everyone said.. some should be long lens and some fisheye. also depends on what the comp. is gonna be.

lol, Yeah.  And then they have that Death Lens.  And this brand new lens Carroll and Koston were playing with on some mini ramps, I think it was like an High-Density(or Definition) fisheye -just guessing.

Fish eye all the way, I don't think vids would be the same w/o them.

Yeah, I agree with you 100% On that. It's just the original thing, although I think we should change out of it, I'm pretty sure the only reason they DO use fisheye is to make the tricks look bigger and better.

no, i think they shouldnt be used they make everything look big and long. id rather see a normal picture of thr trick. so it to shows the true size of the gap or the trick thats being done.

Unless you're filming to become sponsored, haha.  Then you need all the help you can get, right?
