people tell me that Vans are like the ultimate skate shoe, and i really like them, but every pair i get seems to get torn up really easily and quickly while skating?

is this just me, or should i try another shoe?

i dont like vans for skating but of the vulcanized sole, they cause a lot of ankle rolls

Does it depend if they're actually skate shoes or slip-ons?

I don't think Vans slip-ons would last very long.

vans is the only thing i will wear. it is the best and they've had the most experience and all the other shoes are made for "lightness" and "super absorbant comfort" and shit like that. vans works. if they're not lasting for you, its just that some pairs of vans go faster thn others do. they have shitloads of styles and they all have different material.

i always role my ankles in vans...
i only wear high top skate shoes now..i dont care what brand but they got to be above my ankles...
and i think the slip on would be awful to skate in..as the name says "slip-ons" it probley slip off

Yah bro, seriously Vans aren't my style at all, if you were out shopping for a skate shoe
that you wanted to last for at least a couple of years, i would definatly say, try some DVS,
or some DC. Those are shows I skate in, and always will skate in they last for awhile, plus
some are just stylish. Haha, but yah, Vans aren't my thing, but hey thats my opinion.
