Skate trends or any other trend is about finding out who you are. Everything we do was new to us at one time in our life. Skateboarding itself was viewed by many as a trend or a fad and for some people it is just a passing fad. We all know some "poser" that has a skate and wears skate shoes and an Indy t-Shirt but does not skate. that person has found a trend in their life that will probably end soon. Trends help people figure out their own  style so that they can fit in. That being said, in irder to "be yourself" you may have to embrace a trend at some point in your life.  So, unless you are soo original and a trend setter yourself don't H8!...SK8!

"You ultimatley decide who you want to be" How do you do that? How does a person make that choice? Semanics! finding out who you are is the same as making a decision as to what you want out of life. We do this based on the things in life that we have been exposed to. for example: TRENDS! that is the subject, right?

Ya, bla bla bla You find out Bla bla bla you decide. You are who you are. There is no decision process involved. Human behaviour and personality traits are a product of environment that begins early in infancy and continues through adolesence and adulthood. I can see that you don't like it but the truth is we are a product of our environment and as far as how we act, what we wear and the kind of activities we enjoy. These things we choose ar all stuff we were exposed to at one time or another in our life. These things inspire us and help us  FIND OUT WHO WE ARE.  With food it is more simple to explain. We taste something. We like it or we don't like it.  We find out that "I like oranges" and we then grow orange trees. Now go find out who you are.

All I am saying is that we pay attention to trends and all the things we are exposed to. People that we come into contact with, movies we watch and the media in general, art that we look at, music that we hear, food that we eat. All that stuff has something to do with who we are. It's that simple. I don't know why Dahmer did what he did I don't follow that kind of stuff but I bet he had a fucked up childhood.  I am aware that  people have instincts. An instinct is an innate biological force, which commands the person to behave in a particular way. The main advocate of the instinct theory was that all thinking and behavior is the result of instincts, which are fixed from birth, but which can be adjusted by learning and experience. I can see that you have some opinions and that's cool but you should do some reading and you might learn something about human behaviour.

And on the topic of reading lit. regarding human behavior. I have a book on my shelf right now that im working my way too( Its likely outdated and i dont even remember how i stumbled upon in, I just remember that it was a huge coincidence)

what i dont like about the "skater" trend is people who try to hard to fit in its funny to watch though

i dislike the emo style... i cant really ollie in tight pants, its hard.
