Its not bad, it just makes it harder to learn them when moving and takes longer.

doing tricks stationary helps you get your footwork down easier and less painful than doing them moving. im just starting out i finaly got the ollie thing down pat after like a week of straight skating.. i ran into a problem wer i could pop them stationary real nice and high but when i did them moving it looked like i had no clue.. my main problem was weight dist. but besides that its probably a good idea to do them stationary first but you have to keep in mind the little things that you have to maintain while moving that you dont feel when you are stationary. when i did the ollie stationary my feet learnd what to do so now i dont have to think about wer my feet go.. all i had to do was put my weight forward and not bust my rear on the pavement since i already knew the footwork.

yeah you got it
when i do my skate camp every year i teach the kids how to in grass
than move them to pavement
staying in one spot isn't bad at all
its one way to get over the fear of it

No it isn't. That's how i do my tricks. When i get them packed down, i try them rolling.
When you are rolling and try to do the trick, make sure you stay with the board.
