which do you think will be better and why? and, which are you going to purchase?

i aint going to buy any but the xbox360 is the best since of all the stuff it can do which is more then can be said for the ps3 but hope to god its backward compatable like the ps2 was

well most game console are. just not nintendo from cartridge to mini cd. and i dont wanna know what they are making next. id get a xbox 360

My stepbrother's friend left his Xbox360 at our house for about a week, not quite two (who the fuck leaves their brand new Xbox at a friends house for a week?  Moron/good for me)

Needless to say i enjoyed playing it.  I really liked being able to not get up and turn the system on and off, the wireless controllers were great.  However, the batteries started to die on me and make the game a hell of a lot tougher when buttons being pushed weren't doing anything.  The system kept freezing/locking up and i had to restart a number of times.  All in all, the games were fun, the graphics were pretty good, but the reliability sucked balls.  It crashes as much as windows does, Mac really needs to make a reliable, efficient, and all around user friendly gaming consol.

PS3, looking forward to "testing" it out

my friends all bought wii's this weekend.  its pretty cool how everythings all sensored and what not... sure the graphics suck but that wasn't what they were going for.  i liked it a lot though, however, it sucked because you have to get used to new controls all over again... i remember the first time i tried to play nintendo 64... i sucked... its just like that... i suck all over again.  and if i'm playing video games i'm probably already feeling pretty lazy, i distaste that i have to have pretty good limb control at 3 in the morning when i was playing it. 

i think i'd take the 360 over it any day though... i can't help it... i played oblivion for hours just to watch the amazingly beautiful graphics.  it was so beautiful...

the ps3, well...  i really want to see it in action someday.  i don't know anyone that actually got one though.  they just cost so much.  i guess microsoft is actually loosing money on the 360 because they lowered the price so that they could actually sell em... make money on the xbox live stuff.  so i just can't see how much better it could really be compared to the 360.  i guess it does have the motion sensor stuff in the controls a little bit like nintendo does though.  so maybe it'll be like the amazingness of both systems in one?  but for 600? gross.
