Thats what I used to do .. so read carefully. Your not flicking properly, I don't care if u think u know what ur doing, cuz u don't, u have a disease .. I to once had this chronic illness, we can call it .. kickdown syndrome. What u need to do is really think hard about what your trying to do. Your probablly doing the whole thing as one quick motion, barely popping the board, and literally kicking the board downward with your toe. This does still make the board spin, but your never EVER going to land it like that. I know this because I tried for probablly 3 years. So heres what u do. before u even think flipping the board, u need to pop a nice ollie. After you've popped with your back foot, u want to start sliding your front foot, just like a regular ollie. As your toe gets further up the board you need to FLICK it right at the concave pocket, not kick, flick ... it should really be called a flick flip. It's all in the ankle motion, your not doing anything with your knee or leg, your just flicking your foot like you would shake your wrist. When you kick your foot down your causing it to hit the ground, and thats just the forces of gravity. But when you flick your foot, its going forward, not downward, so your board spins, and your front foot is still in the air !!!! once it completes the rotation, catch that ma facka and land it. I hope u understand what im saying ... cuz it honestly took me yeeeaaarrs to get it, and I felt like the biggest retard once I landed it. so ye, I hope this helped a few people.
