So i was havnig a discussion the other day with my dad about the trend in hollywood towards making movies that have more "explicit scenes". In other words, movies these days have way more adult themes in them, even in family movies. For instance, more sex scenes, dirtier language and jokes, etc. What does everyone think about this? is it good or bad? do you even care? more importantly: when should children be exposed to this kind of material? Should movies be a little more censored? Should there be more sexually explicit scenes?

Ithink that it is more the teenagemovies that has the "explicit scenes" So it is still optional, but it is the most part that is like that now! I agree! To me, mostly every movie that comes out now is alike. Or the comercial ones are! But the "trend" is that children should be more sexed up if you can say that. Fot instance, it was in a toy store the other day witha friend, just for fun. And we find Bratz! I mean, they totally look lie whores! Barbies that i grew up with, was at least prperly dressed! And other than that, we find Makeup, cell phones, iPods and Disney DVD-players! What the fuck are all these things doing in a toy store right next to. Jear, all the toys?! Kids are just told to grow up tp fast, and that includes the sexual themes that are in all the movies these days! Its to bad that a lot of the movies, that comes out now, is under the impression, that only thing that sells is sex! (I apoligize if you think that i get myself in to some weird stories, but nobody else wanna hear them!)

i dont have a problem with it and as far as children go, i honestly dont see a problem with it. i was exposed to these kinds of things very early in life, however, i think it would be more responsible to talk to your child about the pros and cons or what not and not just "leave it up to the movies". in england, its opposite from us. our movies have more violence and less sex than theirs. they believe that, while violence is also natural, that sex is more so natural and condone it mose so. just thought that was interesting.

There was some study done recently that showed there is more violence in children's programming as a whole, whether it be in TV or movies, than there is in adult programming as a whole. So, kids are being exposed to violence from a very early age, what the hell does it matter then if they're being exposed to sexuality? I think it's up to parents to use discretion with EVERYTHING their children watch on TV or in movies and it's up to the parents to decide what and when it is appropriate.

IWhen they don't see or hear it in movies it's in the houses and schools, you don't think 4 year olds curse and swear and 10 year olds talk about sex?

This is how I rate movies

-how many people die in the first 5 minutes?
-are there any tits in the first 5 minutes?

thats pretty much it.
