when does the new effect die down on a new skatepark? and do all skateparks have the issues that my city's skatepark has? will they eventually go away???

i love skateboarding with a passion... its one of the few things that kept me breathing these last couple months (its been a bit rough but i'm doin awesome now). my skateboard is like my best friend, except that its always always around for me. i love it. the skatepark is my favorite place to skate, i regard it wish awesomeness, i mean, for north ogden...

i've skated every day for the past 2 weeks at least. but today, today was different. first i didn't have any of my kids there. but that doesn't matter... i can skate alone. these other kids though... they were throwing dirt clods onto the skating surface. hit those, and its like hitting little pebbles... not to mention they break apart and make the ground slippery... these kids, are at the skatepark often, but hardly ever skate much. so i asked on kid if he skates... then explained what the little dirt clods do... and asked him to please stop. aparently i offended his friends though and they came over and cussed me out saying this ain't thier skatepark so why the crud should they care what they do to it. told them i wasn't talking to them... and left and skated. i could've said more... but i thought better of it and therealized they were big, and i had not my kids there to back me up... i don't want to fight anyways. bleh guys are dumb.

but seriously, what can i do about this kind of behavior??? they're not respecting the only thing this city has given the most of us. i would say don't get involved, but i don't want to just let them get away with it... so what do i do?
